Ireland
Jesus, I have not seen this much red hair since I banged
Lucille Ball back in the 50’s. I can’t say St. Patrick’s Day in Ireland was a
letdown but as I have heard it is very much about the tourists. I was amazed at
all the different languages I heard and none of them being English of Gaelic.
The parade
was a bit abstract and other than the green you would not know it was St.
Patrick’s Day. I did learn that my tailor made silk suit is fecking awesome and
would have been unique even there. Funniest part of the parade was when the dude cleaning up the horse crap got the loudest applause.

Sanjay (that is Seamus in Indian) and I went to a local bar
first and then made our way to Temple Bar which was a mad house and a bit of a
garbage pit but fun nonetheless. Surprisingly, I can remember all of it.
For the touristy things I mainly went to places where I can
learn more about Irish History and of course to find the perfect pint of Guinness.
This was my second trip to Dublin I could remember certain
things like where Weylan’s Pub is and other important stuff. I think I will
still go back but not on March 17th and not in the summer. I have
realized that when it comes for to traveling I will sacrifice good weather for
less people. Although the weather was nice for the time of year.
